PIGRA undertakes research, development and innovation projects, analysing new formulas in collaboration with the LITEM UPC Research Centre in order to provide new technologies and materials to the civil engineering market.


Our goal is to optimise resources, promote environmental sustainability, increase quality of the finished product and improve health and safety.


Pigra is a partner company of the PhD programme for Materials, Nanotechnology and Industrial Processes lead by the University of Barcelona.

Some of the projects we have delivered:

  • Funding from the Centre for the Industrial and Technology Development (CDTI) for the project "Analysis of the behaviour in bending of mixed steel-concrete beams and GFRP, COMPOBEAM sections".


  • Collaboration in the National Programme of private & public cooperation INNPACTO. Cooperation with LITEM for the progress of an R&D project that will develop a new technology of tunnel support based in composite materials, ATLANTE.


  • Collaboration in the 7th Framework Programme of the CORDIS community of the European Commission with ATLANTE project and the cooperation of universities and companies from United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain.
